Retail Centre Manager - DFO Jindalee

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Centre Manager to take up an exciting and challenging role at DFO Jindalee, a large established retail centre in Brisbane's south-west with 80 tenancies. 

The role will encompass the following duties:

  • Maintaining strong relationships and providing excellent service to both owners and tenants.
  • Administering leases and licences and maintaining an accurate tenancy schedule.
  • Facilitating or assisting in the leasing of any vacant tenancies that may become available from time to time.
  • Conducting renewals of existing leases in a timely fashion.
  • Ensuring all rent reviews are carried out as specified under leases, including facilitation of any market reviews as necessary.
  • Maintaining property management data to ensure accurate reporting
  • Work closely with contractors to maintain a high standard of performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property and ensure compliance with leases, health and safety, and the proper upkeep of the property.
  • Preparation of annual operating budget.
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Use lateral thinking to suggest value add opportunities for owners which generate business opportunities

We are growing our team and opportunities exist for ambitious, highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our CBD office, working in the Corporate Leasing Department in either the Brisbane CBD, North Fringe or South Fringe.

The successful applicants will have at least 6-9 months experience in leasing of commercial property or similar analyst experience a desire to work with and learn from the best in the business, be self-motivated with a solid work ethic, and keen to enter a commercial property role with great earning potential.

Tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Marketing of Commercial Property
  • Developing a comprehensive skillset in all aspects of Leasing & Sales
  • Assist with new business development including cold calling and door knocking
  • Market research and maintaining database
  • Reporting to Clients & Directors on property activity
  • Attending Meetings and Inspections
  • Assisting with Lease negotiations
  • Compiling of Marketing Reports and Information Memorandum
  • Establishing and maintaining professional Client relationship

The successful applicants will require the following:

  • At least 6-9 months commercial property experience (in either a Leasing Role, Analyst Role, or, 3 x Years in Property Economics Degree at University)
  • Computer competence
  • Current drivers licence and vehicle
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Work well within a team

Chesterton International is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commercial Property Analyst to join its Agency team. This is a great opportunity to be mentored by industry leaders.

The Analyst will develop an understanding of the sales process and in depth knowledge of the Brisbane commercial property market. The environment is extremely busy, deadline driven and it is often necessary to drive multiple projects simultaneously.

The analyst will be required to:

  • Manage client database and systems
  • Prepare and manage marketing budgets and campaigns
  • Research and analyse sales evidence for presentations
  • Analyse Investment Sales and have up to date knowledge of the market
  • Prepare bid documentation, property presentations, meeting material and reports,
  • Canvass and identify potential properties and clients
  • Interact with agents, landlords, solicitors and tenants
  • Manage workflow and prioritise tasks

Required skills and knowledge:

  • Analytical problem solving abilities
  • Financial and economic analysis
  • Advanced reporting and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient with both the Microsoft (Word, Excel & Powerpoint) and Adobe (InDesign, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat) suite of software packages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to establish and foster key internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Strong work ethic
